The BetterLesson Lab turns professional development into experiential learning by organizing learner-centered instructional competencies and strategies into a try-measure-learn process. This is the app that teachers and their coaches will use to plan, experience, and reflect on their professional learning goals.
The Lab embeds PD in the classroom by helping teachers to:
a) set a clear goal on a measurable outcome,
b) collect baseline student and classroom data,
c) try innovative research and practice based strategies,
d) collect evidence of efforts and measure progress toward goals, and
e) review, reflect and course correct.
The work facilitated by the Lab can be access by teacher and administrative dashboards. At the end of the program, the evidence captured by the Lab is compiled into a portfolio of teacher and student growth.
